Was working fine. Stopped for Thai.
Remounted. No go.
Just a rapid staccato sound like starter not engaging properly.
Not sure if starter itself or a cycling relay?

Fuel pump is priming no issue there.
No F1 message.

Help. Please.

I'd start (see what I did there?) With the battery too. Then earth leads

My battery died over night last year, everything was ok and one day it just died, no cranking, no lights. I learned that lesson after checking EVERY connector and wire on the bike
Next time I'll check battery first!

If still trying to crank or at least spin the starter, the battery would seem to be fine.  Wonder if you've stripped the starter pinion off the starter motor....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Battery Mike.  See if it starts with jumper leads (off a car or another bike)  if yes, you're a lucky man, you get to choose which new battery you'd like.

Disconect your battery and try another battery. Mine didn't want to start on car battery via jumper cables because my battery was dead and after whole day trying to find fault guess what? It started right on with another battery.

If it is battery, then suggest fitting the heavy duty version of the Yuasa - standard battery is the YTX14-BS which has 200CCA, the heavy duty version is the YTX14H-BS with 240CCA. Gives better starting (esp in cold weather). Its what I've fitted as a replacement on my BMW for the standard battery, and its so much better - and only costs a few bucks more.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

It was the battery :)

Now does anyone know a good battery place in North brisbane?

My current (see what I did there) battery is a power vault MG-14BS which is 14Ah.

Yes, Buswood Perth. I can ask around if needed, but I'm leaning towards the SSB lithium myself, reputable manufacturer and decent warranty.  Plus SSB are THE battery of choice for LR owners:

If you need I can find out a postage price to Brissy?

Thanks Eric. My batt still good. Its actually Super Start Batt, SSB. Was a replacement for original, they replaced even though out of wrty.Been really good.  Theyve showed thru as good batts, can remember were budget Chinese batts, very cost effective. Cheap arse in other words.  New C Tek charger a good idea. Handy to take for car, bike, boat. Bloody expensive, unit is $400, not too bad. Solar panel another $500, far too much. Handy tool if in bush etc. If i was a boatie id have one as insurance. Worth a read. Stays charged 12 mths. https://www.ctek.com/au/battery-chargers-12v-24v/cs-free

OK so I went to battery world (turns out one of the blokes I ride with sometimes is an exec there)
I got a replacement 'standard' Yuasa battery (The H version is not sold in Australia) at a decent discount.

Whacked the liquid in and will fit later today.
