I did this to my original bike (Sophie)..
It was a pig of a job to do! MUCH harder than the "How to" on here would lead you to believe!
I would say before you even pick up a spanner you should hunt down a long holesaw.. I bought a standard shorter one and God did it make the job far harder to do.
Half way through the job I wished I hadnt bothered..
When the job was completed I was glad I had done it..
In total it took a full weekend..
I remember making a threaded tool to put down the end of the silencers and hook onto the baffle and then withdraw the baffle with the home made extractor.

In the end I loved the deep throated sound BUT the standard appearance.. Sounded gorgious when started up and blipped.

Do I intend to do it to the new GSX when I get it?
Probably but not for a while..

I would describe the sound as this.. )verall it makes the GSX sound like a 1400 instead of a 750 !

Yesterday I e-mailed the guy who owns my old bike to see if he fancied swapping silencers..

He unfortunately replied " I will stick with these thanks as I love the sound"..
That probably tells you all you need to know re sound!

Yes, its not straightforward at all! Thats why I posted, having done it myself, to update Jacogs rather brief post. Enhanced sound definitely worth it

The hole saw I used was about 40mm depth. It works fine to cut through the second interior plate holding the baffle BUT you have to trim the end of the baffle first (see my post how to) otherwise it will be too short.

Thanks I have found one locally that is 60mm long so that should cut through the second weld

They sound better with headphones (was taken on a old phone and the bike is in a brick outhouse so bit of sound resonance off the walls)
Question everything

Snapey

It sounds flat. Maybe better in person but on that clip it sounds like it's struggling to rev. A dyno readout between stock and modified would be an interesting read.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.
