second back up reservoir empty and yet still no hose pipe ban. Welsh Water company who are owned by the public and not share holders unlike the rest of the UK loses 170 million litres of water every day through leaks  :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

We probably send that much to China everyday Notty. Chinese not silly.....buy rundown company with a water consent then hey presto it's all off overseas.

Water shortages.... So much migration but no new infrastructure.

Before we had the real bad floods a few years back, the big dam upstream was already pretty well stocked. There was storms forecast (but they didn't realise how bad) only it was always a gamble if we'd get good rain fall or not. Some storms miss us, some turn out to be nothing, these turned out to be huge.

The dam operators were told "If you let water out now and we don't get rain, there'll be a water shortage later and its your fault.... if you don't let water out and we get storms you'll have to let water out and flood Brisbane and it's your fault".

Huge storms, dams had to be opened, Brisbane flooded.

The Government officials tried to pass the buck and blame the dam operators for flood damage.  Big investigation, dam operators didn't get lynched. Not a job I'd want.

DAMned if you do and DAMned if you don't... literally!

Yeah, they cant win. 2013 my pool was inundated, washed big hole under liner. Insurance answer was, owner, me, knew this could happen, didnt do enough to alleviate damage. Knocked back claim. I really knew we would get 800mm in 4 days. NO.

Councils across the UK rejoice as melting bitumen begins to fill the potholes!

The UK produces less than 1% CO2 but our government are kicking the shit out of us to get it 0%.  Even if we get to 0% it will make no difference to the carbon in the atmosphere, china will make up for our loss but we will be eating worms and grass, living under a duvet all day and walking everywhere.

Just to put all that climate change BS into perspective....

- the climate has been changing for 4 6 billion years on this rock we call Earth..... get used to it.

- one fart from a volcano puts as much co2, sulphur and other noxious gases into the atmosphere that we as a species have done since the dawn of the industrial revolution with all our gadgets.  There are multiple active volcano's around the world constantly spewing into the air and water.

- this planet cannot effectively sustain 8 billion humans.

I'm all for progress and development, but keep the politics out of it, perhaps put them into a volcano....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Russian gas pipeline with 4 holes in it doesn't help either. :whistling:

It's all just a lie to tax us down to subsistence level anyway, there is no proven science behind it at all. But anyone who picks holes in the obvious errors doesn't get any air time so most people who don't think for themselves never realise.

Just saw your temps up north. A bit like our normal Summer.
Well @grog I´m not the typical Portuguese that likes hot weather or else I would´ve gone to the UK this Summer, hotter than here down south! I prefer the temp when it´s got 1 digit (in celsius that is).
