Just saw your temps up north. A bit like our normal Summer.

The hysteria for 2 hot days is simply ridiculous lol
Question everything

grog

Really wish we get only 2 days. Not quite how it happens.

Need any coaching? Just ask me....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

The Brits really like to complain.  If it's hot they moan, even though some go off to sunnier climes to get a bit of sun.  If it's cold they moan, even though some go to colder places for winter sport.  If it wet they moan, even though some go to sea to get away from it all.  If it's dry they moan and I don't know why.

During these conditions the country shuts down, which is what we do these days.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Hhhmmm, highest temps ever in UK - and recorded, provisionally, where? Heathrow and RAF Coningsby - so absolutely no danger of urban heat island influences then from buildings, tarmac and, oh yes, jet engines taking off LOL

Are you suggesting it's all hype & lies?

I think it's more to do with airports have decent weather monitoring kit than anything else that they get included. I totally agree a massive tarmac area will be a heat sink though, reminds me of reading about the claimed increase in global temps. One of the sensors with the biggest change was built in the middle of nowhere & is now in the centre of an industrial estate, but still gets used as it supports their lies.

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

grog

Why no AC in UK, the best coolers and best heaters? Add solar and costs not much.

Gas combi boilers normally.

Although there is a mad drive to get rid of them & have groundsource heat pumps & other green nonsense.
