Some nice roads Mate, wonder where that place is😂

GSXKING

I recognised MtGlorious, Hinze Dam, Upper Beechmont etc in the video big advantage GSX over ZRX is 6 speed gearbox. Kawasaki & Honda both had 5 speeds & just not enough GRUNT.
I laughed when he said they wallow 😂😂😂

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

The Yanks have done some really trick ZRX's, Muzzy did heaps of hot up bits for them. I guess Americans didn't get the GSX and stuffs a bit cheaper to play with.

Of the 3 ZRX's, half faired, cockpit faired and rarer naked version, I do like the Lawson Rep version.

Nothing a Busa engine and running gear couldn't fix...

.

Yetiman

That ZRX is very nice I wouldn't mind one of those..

Kiwifruit

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Hooli

I had to turn that off once he started talking complete shyte.

Vibes through the bars & wallowing at modest speeds in bends? First thing he needs to do is get it set up properly & replace that shagged front tyre. I bet it's never had fork oil & the steering bearings are probably on their way out. Lube the swingarm pivots & the shock pivots too & he'd find out how they actually ride.

grog

Agree Hooli, a lot of things wrong in that video.

If you want to list everything that you think is wrong - and what the objective truth of the matter is - feel free to and I might make a 'response' video.

I thought it was an ok summary except for the wallowing and buzzy bars, then again, there seems to be a particular set of things that need doing when you are replacing the front wheel lest a bit of buzz in the bars does occur, at least in my exp, but that was also refitting the whole front end but mine doesn't wallow one bit and with the heavier front springs she's a goodun but all in all, I thought the review was pretty fair. I dunno how you'd make a long list of things wrong, It'd be a short vid IMO.
My main problem right now is I'm not riding much at the mo due to really shit weather and wind.
Petrol prices give me the shits as well.

grog

Youre prob right Nic. I was just annoyed about bar buzz, wallowing and spongy brakes. Ive never experienced vibrations at all. Brakes n handling are just easily fixed. Over reacted i did.

Someone who doing a review on an 18 year old bike that isn't at its best was unlikely to be on the same wave length as guys who are passionate about them and have well set up versions.

I don't take a lot of notice, I watched ones on H2's, Busa's, B-Kings, Harleys etc etc that were done by folk who'd have a half hour demo ride and read the spec sheet.  They are normally a long way off the reality of ownership.

The bloke from "Beards and Bikes" and the annoying "Fortnine" and a heap of others are just as bad.

There's never a shortage of folk ready to tell you what's wrong with your choice of bike...  :rofl2:

Agree Tony. Mate who rides MT10, took my old girl for a ride. His comments, he cant possibly find anything good about it. Were all different i guess.

I like Ryan (FortNine) and especially the excellent cinematography on that channel.

But as for the "bible-bashing buffoon from beards and bikes" ... yeah he's a  dick alright.

Basically MOST bike reviews need to be taken with a grain (sometimes a truckload) of salt, as they are biased in one way or another.    And yes a brief test ride (especially under the controlled conditions of press junkets, or a brief suburban road ride) is FAR from the experience that a longer term ride or ownership will give.

Oh and while we are talking about dicks on YouTube 'The Missenden Flyer"
So... I started  another thread on the youtube bike channel subject.
