I don't recall the manual saying but I've always thought you should check it with a warm engine, as ignition on & a cold engine should mean the STVA is in the 'fast idle' position so the TPS is slightly more advanced than where it would when the engine is running at normal temps.

I reckon youre right Hooli. I did a Mazda tps reset recently, manual said warm motor to 90c min.
