Seams the parent company in Gibraltar has gone into administration.
UK bussiness is a separate company .
They have changed the insurance provider to sabre insurance old and say things are only affected if your going through a claim or a renewal .
I'm going to see if they are at the NEC bike show next weekend and see what they are saying .

I'll be doing a better search of insurance companies when the renewals come up in the spring time.
Big problem is the bikes are over 15years old now do most companies breakdown cover that's included doesn't cover the bikes and they can't remove it to bring the premiums down.
I can't get breakdown cover no problem but j dong want to pay for it twice especially when I can't actually use it .

Hooli

I know I've said it before, but Carole Nash's breakdown has no age limit. They say they won't repatriate the bike if that'd cost more than the bike but that's all.

They seam to say different things to different people then as they told me they didn't cover bikes over 15 years old for breakdown/recovery in Europe.
Plus the service if you is totally shite these days anyway .

Worked for me a few years ago when my stator burned out in Italy, used them a few times in this country too.

Still your mileage may vary.

Email today
MCE ending policy on 31st Jan.
That's 2 months early for me .
It said I can claim back the difference we'll see about that .
It also said customers on sabre insurance aren't affected and I thought I'd been transferred to them so all very confusing as we might need 3 lots of insurance in 1 month.

@seth same with me except my current policy runs out mid February, to say I'm pissed off is an understatement as for the sake of 12 days I will not be credited with the extra years no claims bonus that I should be due. To top it off every other motorbike insurance Co seem to have put their prices up, I was paying around £90 for the last year, the best quote I can get now is in the region of £170 for the same level of cover

Out of interest I followed the link in the MCE email which said they can quote for renewal through the UK arm of the business, so after spending 10 minutes completing the online form they have declined to quote saying that I do not meet their criteria, and I should call them - Erm no thanks go stuff ya self!  :furious:
