Hi all, just registered today... Iam looking to buy a GSX1400 in the near future, so thought i'd check this site out for a buyers guide, or things to look out for.

Thanks

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Ay up, we've got a guide somewhere but I can't think where. @gsxbarmy will probably know when he logs in.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, and thanks for that list - that'll be useful! :)

I'm sure we had a better list once, but it might have been on the old Org.

Generally though, just anything you'd check on any bike as they are getting old these days. K2-K4 check the compression adjusters (bottom of the forks) & rear pre-loads aren't seized. K5 onwards they don't seem to be as much of an issue.

K5 onwards have an immobiliser recall that some bikes still haven't been back for. It's not a big job & they still do it for free, just worth checking when you get one to see if it's been done.

We did (and we do) but its just too large to load on here (or rather should I say that this is only the second time it's ever been asked for)

@spb2002 - I've sent an email to your email account with the relevant attachment  :onya:
