Took Dad with me to Pukekohe for a bit of a trip down memory lane at the weekend. Over 300 entries, some really nice iron on display  :clapping:
A few of the current superbike riders managed to make a decent race out of some of the not so slow bikes of old.
Have posted a photo of an old Velocette, my grandfather raced one the same at the Isle of Man and Ulster GP many, many moons ago.
The Britten, always a favorite and sounds so good  :worshippy:
Someone went to a lot of trouble making the Z900 minibike.
A small section of the track and a section of the bikes in the carpark.
Great day out  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Hooli

Liking the proper bikes. much better to watch than new stuff.

Kiwifruit

They sound pretty cool Hooli. Was somewhat surprised to see a few very lovely young ladies riding them too. I didn't take too much notice.... honest  :whistling:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

GSXKING

Was the Britten being ridden or just demonstrations Col ?  :whatever:
GSXKING 3:^)
Chris
Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Kiwifruit

It was ridden and the first edition of the Britten was there and ridden too. Bit of an ugly thing to be fair tho.

Typing this and its raining, first decent rain for weeks. Yahoo, we have two 30,000 litre tanks and were nearly out. Everywhere the grass is brown.
Happy days !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Ian Britten was a genius - great bikes IMHO.

And that old old Norton looks a treat.

John Britten, a very clever man indeed.
Those old Nortons may be brand new. Ken McIntosh can build you one from the ground up. Bruce Anstey rode them for Ken at the Classic TT for a few years. He also built the bike Rodger Freeth won the Bathurst Arai 500 in 82 ?. Another clever Kiwi bike builder.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Cool !  Does the customer need an original frame to start with or is it literally all new? Does it have any 'modern tech?
