Was told yesterday no more 1st model Angel GT fronts. Still some rears. Pirelli now saying you can mix old and new, not what they told me last year. I have about 15 th ks before i need to think about it. Next time might even go for something different, just a change, Angels have been brilliant last 7 yrs. Hooli, what are your Avon called? You seem to like. Id like to have a read about them.

Go for the gt2's they are brilliant and last even longer than the gt's do .

KM's are one thing, how are they through the twisties?
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!

Not bad on the twisties I've gone through a few sets.

Grog do you use Tyres for Bikes at Cooroy as the last time I dealt with them they were good guys and gave a better deal than their website.

Those Dunlop Q4's look like slicks and just call out for you to try them.
I found the Dunlop Elites (now discontinued) for old school bikes, Dukes, Guzzi's and Lav's really great with no evil habits except low miles which was why they were probably so sticky.

The Tyres are Avon Storm 3D-XM, 190/55 ZR17 and 120/70 ZR17.  I have them on my bike and really like them, good in the wet and dry plus the 55 aspect ration reduces my speedo error from 10% to just under 5% and quickens up the steering.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

What he said ^^^

I reckon on 8k miles before the rear is illegal, that's damn good for my bike.

Had Dunlop Elites on a 750 XJ Yamaha back in the day. They were good tyres. Rode from Sydney to Cooktown and back that killed them. Replaced them with Pirelli Phantoms, they lasted a bit longer.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

They are everything the gt was but better and they are great in the wet .
Also due to the way they are made they wear much more evenly and tend to square off much less than other tyres I've had so staying rounder for longer and that really helps on twisty roads .

I reckon on 8k kilometers on the sides of an Angel GT2 is illegal.
