Hi guys, I have a 2007 G5, black and red tank, black wheels. Bored with the black wheels, anyone here powder coated their wheels from the standard white or black to another colour?

grog

Mate, read on here recently about powder coat. Its plastic, lets moisture thru. Thread was was from Convert, just remembered. Had corrosion under it. Other side, ive coated other bike wheels, no prob. I like black wheels, even took the blue rim tape off mine. Maybe just rim tape yours, certainly gives a diff look. Just a thought.

I like the outer part of my rims polished but I think the result of the colour matched red inner and silver outer rims on the Bandit look OK. I'm with Grog regarding powder coating so these wheels were done with acrylic lacquer.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Some on here with red and black have gone for matching red wheels - look good. Speedy1959 did it to his (but I can't seem to find a picture of his (since sold))
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

The red wheels look great, are they painted or powder coated?

I am sure Simon had them powder coated but had a few problems with excess coating  :bugga:

That's right, he did.  Think they powdercoated where the disc mounts & he had trouble with the brakes until he cleaned it all off there.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎
