Hope you can all accept my apologies...
Been an idiot a few months back and sold my K3 to get some funds to buy a Z900rs.....The Kawasaki is a great machine but it ai'nt no 14.....
So on the lookout again now for an immaculate, honest and a fairly low mileage bike again.... :onya:

Strangely enough, i rode next to one of those yesterday. !00 k road. Had some sort of aftermarket exhaust, sounded terrible. Thing i noticed, just didnt seem planted on road, always a little swerving. Not sure if bike or rider, just didnt look good.

Went to the MCN show at Birmingham last year to look at new bikes to see if there was anything that I really liked. Top of the list to look at was the Z900RS but as soon as I sat on one it didn't feel right somehow, not sure why but knew straight away it wasn't for me. Also sat on a Bonneville and loved that but still not enough to sway me from getting a used 14. Had to wait a while until the right one came along but never regretted it for a minute.

I'm fortunate to have the rs and the gsx,,,the rs is nice but have to agree the gsx is another level,,recently I borrowed the new katana for a week, when I returned the katana and picked up my 14 ,that's when you realise how good the 14 is.,

I saw a Z900rsthe other day, I thought it was a good looking bike for a new bike but not good enough looking to trade the 14.

I was in Phil McCallens on friday and liked the Z900 in similar to the old Jaffa colours, he told me it was about 10,700 on the road. I think that is steep but I suppose not bad when you will pay about 12500 to 15,000 quid for a 1976 model, I hope the new models are not as gutless as the originals.

DP1400

In common with all modern bikes, its not got a proper arse !

I`m beginning to wonder where the modern day pillion rider is supposed to sit, `cause there`s certainly no room on the bike - or is that the cunning plan.......? :stir:
