Double check it. This looks strikingly similar to `Challengers` rocket boosters wiring set-up to me...... :whistling:

I think that may be too simplified.  Remember that you can start the bike with the side stand up or down, so switch (as shown) open or closed.  It's the gears NOT being in neutral that cuts the engine.

If that was the case the engine would never run when gear is engaged, but because side stand is up the relay is energised and Houston we have blast off.
Bike won't start with side stand down and in gear.

Agree but to me that is what isn't completely explained by that diagram.  The side stand switch and gear position switch  are more of a logic type input to the circuit.

That's what it is, a mixture of logic. But it's still electric and it takes years to learn all the tricks.
