Thanks all for the replies. I´ll keep to what I was thinking of, Shoei Neotec 2 to replace my Schuberth C3 Pro. The worst thing for me on a helmet is noise; on long rides I use ear plugs, but short commutes I find it a hassle. Or maybe I´ll wait a few more months for new EC22.06 (should be coming out now) helmets. Mine´s still OK.

Best tip I ever got is buy the best helmet that fits your head rather than the one that your friends have.
We all have slightly different shapes heads .

Tried on all brands and  types including openface and flip ups.  Shoei GTAirII worked out best for me.  All are basically the same, just go with the one that fits your noggin best.  Re noise, use earplugs.

Btw, the shoei has imho the  best optical clarity of the visor, even with pinlocks and the tinted inner visor down.

Tip: when trying on, ask if you can step outside the shop to see how visibility  is outside, as the lighting in the shop is artificial. I found this makes a big difference.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Is anyone allowed to try on helmets at the moment with this whole covid-19 thing?

Is side clasp the seatbelt type fastening? if so I used to just lock the strap in as the bit on the end was too big to pull through.
bloody genius, worked a treat

Yes, no problem although some shops insist that you wear a disposable balaclava (which they supply).
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick
