I think euro cars here are a shitload more expensive than for you.  How about a few price comparisons?

Aussie $:
2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Auto $133,000  = GBP 80,568
2009 Audi TTS Quattro $42,000  = GBP 25.442
2006 BMW 330i  $15,000  = GBP 9,087

and for fun, a NEW car...  2017 Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Auto AWD MY17   $574,990  = GBP 348,257

would't pay a penny-pence!!  i only look at cars i know i can afford so 2 of the above are out..  the other if a girly hair dressers motor !!

As a comparison for you. 2009 TTS here in UK would be about 14k so a lot cheaper than what you guys would pay.

I am talking about the common or garden variety.
I very much doubt we got any higher spec celicas here - in Aus they seriously had a reputation as a hairdressers car. And when they stopped selling Celicas... the MX5 copped that dubious honour.

I personally hate the styling of that model Celica. But hey, that's just me.
The original MX-5's were cracking little cars but then they got bigger, and heavier......
