Thanks.  I hadn't considered the lower model Stingers, because I was so taken with the $60K fast one that I can't afford!
Good to know they are worth a look.

So sad. -14°C this morning. I think the riding season is over. 16 000 km with my 14 this year.

Well it took three years to get this car inspected (California car) and drive-able - next job registration and adjust the carbs and auto gearbox linkage, but at least it drives! Then new paint and interior - already have all the new chrome but the I'm liking the present patina!!!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

I drove this one a couple of times, did the check over on it, did a few little things and compliance plated it for AU before it went off to be kitted up.

All the cop ones I've done have been 3.3 twin turbo's and the middle of the 3 different specs. No 2ltr ones at all.

One picture of my last Ford Capri Injection Special, sold nearly five years ago now. Had them for thirty years in one form or another. This one only had one owner before me and only 52000 miles on the clock when I sold her. Lack of use was the reason for sale, that and no room in the garage due to motorbikes. I await the jokes and piss-taking now. I guarantee I will have heard every amusing comment! I loved them, not particularly fast but very interesting, at times, to drive

Nice cars the 2.8i Capri's but personally I preferred the 3.0S as an engine, seemed to pull better lower down, whereas the 2.8 always seemed a little bit more revvy to get going. Either one though still iconic.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
