Great thinking Grog. Because l have fixed accident damaged vehicles all my life, l subscribe to the worth nothing brand of vehicle.
Fixed a late model Toyota van for us to keep.1st day l had it on the road some dozey cow opens her door onto it. Didnt keep it long. Now happily back driving my old 'worth nothing' van.  :onya:

If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

P38 Range Rover. Loved and hated this car. Got stung buying it, head knackered. Put a new one on then fine, most comfortable car I have ever had. Ran it on biofuel and it ate a fuel pump a month, but, I had access to free used chip oil so made my own biofuel with ethanol.

Cut a hole in the floor to access fuel pump without removing fuel tank so I could change the pump in 15 mins and always carried a spare.
