@grog Joe Public can't have anything protruding from the helmet. However Nazi's OOOPPPPSS Queensland Police Traffic branch are allowed them. WTF

No helmet manufacturer recommend gluing cameras to their helmets.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Stan have you got a pic of your gopro fitted to you r h4elmet please?

Eric - I got one too and I find it really noisy! You?

Compated to the Shark its quiet as, i use earplugs all the time, so not too worried about noise, comfort for me is more important.  The GT has the fighter pilot style visor too, i love it so i dont need to wear sunglasses anymore.  Out of all that i tried (HJC, Arai, nolan, shark, etc), the Shoei had the best optical clarity in the visors and the mechanism seemed most robust.  Best feature is the aerodynamics, i used to get a really sore neck from the buffetting side to side.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I seem to recall the camera stuck on the ski helmet was blamed for Schumacher's brain injury as it acted as a hard point to cause penetration of the helmet shell.

VladTepes

Fark it just lost a  huge post.

In summary I said:

I don't think there is ANY evidence that a camera will cause additional injury - a helmet is designed for impacts after all.

I don't know ANYONE in QLD who has been fined for wearing a helmet cam, and as grog says there are plenty of them.

Looks like the testing says 'maybe, but probably not', I hadn't kept up with the story.

I've been going through my collection of gopro mounts and bits and pieces and haven't managed to come up with anything workable yet.... :(
