Standard Mirrors

Afternoon guys. I have a very standard K3 which I'd like to keep that way and is now looking great after quite a lot of tidying up.

It has original mirrors which Autosol has brought up to about 90% but, one of the black rubber caps covering the adjustment nut is missing and being a little obsessive, it's irritating me!

I've found a part number which is 5652428601 but they all seem to be coming from abroad and with shipping come to circa £20. So, I'm thinking of replacing both mirrors with new items, the factory originals of which are very expensive.

Has anyone any experience of the various pattern parts that appear on Ebay? Or could recommend somewhere who could supply decent pattern parts? I'm UK based.

Many thanks

Or the other option - see if anyone has a decent set of standard mirrors they wish to part with............
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

MSP have the at a couple of quid plus shipping but could be cost effective if you need anything else?

Thanks all. Yep, I've seen the MSP part. I just thought that at £10 with shipping, I might as well buy some new mirrors as they seem to come in at £30 to £40 for non oem replacements on ebay.
Might take a chance on some and see if they're any good when they turn up!

The aftermarket lookalike mirrors I have found are pretty poor quality compared to the originals. Do a search on ebay using the first half of the original mirror part numbers (56500 is the right & 56600 is the left)  prefixed by Suzuki. Suzuki used the same mirrors on two or three other models and it appears that only the last half of the part number changes

I did the above and have recently got a brand new pair of original new old stock for under £40 the pair delivered, from memory which is not great I think Suzuki used the mirrors on some of the Bandit & Bergman models  :onya:

Mirror extenders for me, keep std mirrors this way & they're larger (better vision) than bar end ones.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I'm with GSXKing, bar end mirrors for me too.

Buy the part req. for goodness sake!

No point buying a set of cheap aftermarket crap mirrors, and `bar-end` mirrors are a pain when filtering through traffic..... :whistling:

Extenders for me as well. I think they look OK. Anyway, I like the original mirrors, original handlebars, original indicators, original ......

Top tip
1200 bandit mirror stems are 2" longer than gsx1400 ones .
That's what we use on both our bikes they give a much better view .
only a slightly modified gsx1400

Seth, that is great info.👍When i had standard mirrors found them useless, got extenders,  made a big difference. Have had bar ends for years, i prefer them. Filtering doesnt worry me, hardly do it. Yeah mate, top tip for standard users.
