Try this again and when you stop at the end let the engine idle until the fan comes on. Shouldn't take long unless something is wrong with the fan

BTW what was the oil temp?
Normal oil temp in my engine is 60°C. On hot summer day it can be 80°C.
I have heard my fan working once, after dyno run (started on 105°C)
Optimum working temperature for 15W40 oil is 80-110°C, so the 14 is normally running a bit too cold here up north.

SheepDog

Once owned a 2013 Tiger Sport and those triples get hot. They came with water cooling BUT the fan came on regularly around 100-105°C.
You could hear it regularly cut in. You can also access the CPU with software and vary the temperature for when it would cut in (amongst other settings). Pretty neat.  :onya:
Point is it's interesting these straight 4's 1400's don't run at temperatures the triumph triples run at. I too have yet to hear or see my fan cut in.

Tally

I've only just realised I have a fan, I've never heard it come on!!!!

It's a tiny fan. Almost need a magnifying glass to see. Also not noisy. Would be hard to hear in traffic with helmet on. More likely you will hear the fan of the car behind you.

Radar at Dampier, NW Australia. Eye of cyclone , not something you see everyday. Theyre gonna cop it this arvo.

grog

Fire weather gone. Been raining lots for days. Now a chance of cyclone. Same scenario as floods 1974, 2011. 2013. I hope not. Ocean temp high so means cyclone could come further south.

SheepDog

I was in Gunnedah for the '74 floods and boy was there some water flowing and spreading around the country side. I believe the '55/6 floods were even worse.

GSXKING

I heard today all the bushfires are out and accounted for now, some of the poor bastards are dealing now with flood waters

We love a sunburned country, a land of flooding rains. ETC. ETC.
