I had a go at this morning but ran into an issue. The bolt on the motor didn't want to undo. It loosened a little but then go stuck so I just nipped it up again. I knew if I tried to go more I would have a broken bolt. I ended up putting it on the fram behind the side cover. There is 2 spare holes, 1 either side of the bolt that holds the side cover on.

Just an update, putting the extra earth direct to the frame worked well. I no longer get a tingle from the bike when on the trickle charger. I also think it started easier/quicker as well, thanks for the post grog. 👌

Glad it helped. Id still be inclined to run another to motor.

Okay thanks mate, I'll make up another lead and run it to another spot on the Motor.

I have voltmeter on bars, used jump around a bit, after earth lead remains fairly constant. To me proves that i had resistance before.

At first there were no tingles/shocks with the trickle charger on, now there is ☹️. So tomorrow I'll have to get some wire and run another one to the motor..
