So I spent the afternoon washing and polishing my BMW car. As a sort of rain dance. :stir: :stir: :stir: Reports are it's raining in Warwick with minor hail, so fingers crossed. :boogie: :boogie: My lawn is crunchy under foot. :cry2: Please let it rain for 3 or 4 days, clear up for weekend would be perfect.  :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

We REALLY need it.

When I had my week off I headed inland from the Sunshine Coast, another day around Beaudesert, few other places. It was so dry and no green grass, just dead and dry. It's not great for my riding or work, but I'd be happy to see some rain soon!

Nice polish job, it worked I could hear Thunder off in the distance probably at your place but it passed me by.

Haven't you just had / having winter?  don't you get wetness during winter?  Or is it just hot & dry during the summer & cooler n dry during the winter?   No wonder bush fires rage through so much area if that's what it's like in winter!

Grog, keep you pool, ya might need it as an emergency water supply.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Winters are normally our cool and dry season.

Summers are hot, humid and when we get most of our rain.

Being dry now isn't unusual, it's just drier than normal and it's yet another very dry year that's followed a few others. Not a huge drama for city folk on the coast but devastating for some farmers.

I was up in Warwick last week and all around there and through to Stanthorpe it's as dry as a Pommy's towel.

Warwick is on 120 litres/person/day restrictions and that drops on Sept 1 to 90l/pers/day.

As for Stanthorpe - their water supply is expected to be completely exhausted by Christmas THIS YEAR.
Not good...

So if it's raining up that way that's awesome - assuming they get a decent fall.

Saw a bit on the radar today, but we got nothing more than a dozen spots at the Port. It looked like the Southside of Brissy was getting a little bit.

As Vlad said, there's a lot of towns counting down to no water and relying on water being shipped in.
