And they where still about the same price in 2009.
I paid $10000 for my 07 in 09 with 4250k's.

I paid £4850 for mine in 2008 with 600 miles (1000k) on the clock. I think he is being very opportunistic with his pricing to say the least.

BTW, my offer was to trade in the red/black I'd just finished & a $4000 change over. That boiled down to me reducing my price to $4000 and him coming down to $8000. Needless to say that his price was firm at $8995 & he'd give me $3500 for mine.

I do like the Special Edition colour scheme so I might spend about $750 on stickers & paint and re-do the red/black in those colours. I think the only thing Suzuki got wrong with the S E was the single muffler but mine would have two.

I wouldn't mind a clean tidy late model bike, and that SE paint version really looks nice. As you say, a good respray on a similar year black bike or slightly earlier bike would give the same result and a much wider choice of bikes to pick from.

Sounds to me that the original owner was towing a Caravan  & stuffed the engine & who knows what other issues.
When I read the add, it raises a few concerns, rather than think, what a Original untouched low km find.
The bike has done 45,000kms after all.
