I remember riding most incarnations of Bandits and always commenting on knocking my knees on the exposed frame tubes  :whatever: :whatever:

Mine was probably one of the most fun bikes I've owned.
Not the best bike in many ways but never a dull day,
wild thing to ride hard.

We thought it was funny to see what sort of horsepower we could get out of a new 1200, can, modded carbs, ignition timing, cams, air filter, clutch, 60hp wet NOS system etc, but never bothered with the brakes, tyres or suspension, left them how they came out of the crate..  :grin:

Short stock wheelbase and Renthals made sure it always put on a good show,
but it was harder to rider than the faster big bore Kat.

The poor old GSXR1100G in the first two picks didn't escape any abuse either...  :grin:

@Tony Nitrous

I had one of those Peugeot Speedflight headlight units on my Bandit for a while :onya:
I then changed it to the same one Ghostrider had on his turbo Busa when I finally found it what it was off..Derbi Senda 50SM Xtreme. Took me ages to find one though.

I had a 2008 1250S prior to my 14, I also have a '99 1200 Bandit. It's all down to personal taste but as Tony has said they're nothing special and I wouldn't swap either of the bikes I now have and go back to a 1250

Hope he enjoys it if he goes down that route  :computer_type: :computer_type:
