Some main dealer service costs seem a complete rip off, BUT it can pay in the long run!

I used to run a fleet of approx. 150 Crew Cab 4x4's which worked off road on construction sites and could be based anywhere in the UK, on numerous occasions some of the vehicles suffered from component failures when out of warranty ranging from simple things like hub seals to Engine failures, due to the full main dealer service history a fair lump of goodwill was offered from the manufacturer on most occasions - on occasion they would try and turn their backs but after a bit of negotiation they would come to the party

I think the key point there is that you had 150 of them. That gives you a pretty strong negotiating position.
