I'd lay money they don't offer THAT roadside service for 'any road' in Australia!

...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Did the Triumph Factory Experience the other weekend, and they had 3 of these on show in the holding area. Just gorgeous. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take any photos inside the factory and strangely they wouldn't let us test ride one. But in the flesh.....wow. If only I had £25k or so to buy one..... :smitten:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Bikes like the new Rocket 111, the V-Max and big muscle cruisers are interesting but not for me.

They have some impressive performance numbers but when it's in in such a long heavy bike, and has shaft drive and silly size ballon tyres it's not that great.

Folk used to get excited that a V-Max was a 10th of a second faster to 100 at the strip, but I just saw it as 100 yards of bitumen where you might not get your arse kicked by bikes that are actually much better in the real world.

Muscle cruisers are just Top Trump Bikes to me (remember that game?)
Who's got the biggest CC's? Fattest tyre? Lowest 0-60? etc.
bikes to be seen on, not to disappear and enjoy riding.

I guess they suit some folk but just not me?  :whatever:

It is nice that Triumph are catching up with Kawasaki with the Rocket 111's electrics though...  ;)

Interestingly it's a market Suzuki haven't really entered.

I suppose it was less of a leap for Yamaha using their tourer engine.
Less of a leap for Ducati as big V-twins suit it and are their thing.

It was a bigger deal for Triumph and a step away from the normal triples they have been associated with and it seems to have paid off.

The 1800cc M109 is probably the nearest Suzuki version,
they seem to have quite a following.

I'd have one. As Stalin is (incorrectly) alleged to have said, "quantity has a quality all its own".

Don't forget to post a picture when you get one, they are a fantastic looking bike.

I think nicest looker for a long time. Anyone whos seen my posts knows i love Rockets. 3 weeks on one in Nth Qld was my 60 th birthday present. Amazing time embedded on my brain. On Thursday i thought i saw a new model one, maybe an older modded so nice. I rang Triumph dealer, not here until December. I still think it was the new model. Exhaust manifold gave it away. Not knowing if theyve changed tyre sizes, That was the problem with older models, notmuch choice. As far as copying Diavel, not really thinking that. Diavel in my shed doesnt really remind me of new model Rocket. Does in photos but way different in real.

Well, he did mention lack of cornering clearance on GT. Nothing like a proper demonstration.
