Busa ones work well.
H2 SX ones work well.
Previous GSXR / ZZR1100 ones worked well.

I've never been impressed with small ones that bolt onto the bars or headlight.

I don't mind a good fairing but it's not a "fix" to improve naked bike for me.

Hooli

I've got neck issues Sweaty & any screen I've tried short of the Pan I had just makes my neck play up. They seem to take the wind off my chest & concentrate it on my head & shoulders.

I've got el-cheapo handguards off ebay & ride in summer gloves all year too. Like Speedy I don't feel like I've got any control in winter gloves & winter is when you really need that fine control on the cold greasy roads.

Not a fairing person for 14. Ive tried 2 but look crap and never worked. Same reasons as said above. Other bike in shed has one from factory. Doesnt deter from bike, clear, almost never noticed. It works perfectly. No buffetting, chest, head , arms are virtually air free. Have tried all the way to speed limit. Will only admit to one speed limit, decide yourselves which one. Really good for such a tiny screen.

Yes Hooli, best way to overcome wind blast, is to "Toughen the Hell up"  :whistling:  and keep the bike naked.
Bit easier to do over here though  ;) :cheesy:

Real bikers all ride naked....Fairings are for faggots :imrgreen:

Not sure if that's very PC Froudy, what's a "real" biker anyway?
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Totally agree, I have 2 screens in the garage. A larger ugly one that came on the bike, did protect you but looks shocking & a smaller one that I tried, which is as you described & I prefer it naked anyway.

@Notty
Yeah, you don't want to look like a Fa**ot  :whistling: :stir:

Now I understand!
Fairings and other plastics are for scooters etc., For those who haven't enough power to run without plastics!
Or riders are so shy, that they must hide behind something...

T24. i sort of agree. Naked 14 is only way. Ive never liked screens. The one on Diavel is just brilliant. First ive liked. On a mates closed track, not a regular road, private property, 250 feels like 100. I tried Rocket 3 on same track, helmet blowing off at 220, hands hard to hold onto grips. Huge difference.  :smitten:

Kicking this topic up, I know most of you don't like the fairings but I'm looking for something to take a little wind pressure of my chest during longer rides. I only use the GSX1400 for longer vacations and all my friends have bikes with windscreens so cruising at 130km/h on the highway for a couple of hours is no exception. Also my father had a GS1100 with windscreen so I kinda like it.

Now I can't choose between these two screens, do any of you have experience with one?

DP1400

Naked means naked and i`ve never seen a `bolt on` nose/headlight fairing that suits the `14...... Until now, - the fairing in the second pic looks great, it actually suits the bike and its colour matched too. Its a no brainer for me, the fairing in Pic 2 gets my vote every time :onya:

Andre

Looks are one thing - function is another. Where would you like the wind blast to hit you?  Whose upper body can be fully wind-protected by a bikini fairing?

Where the wind hits with a particular fairing depends on how tall you are. Leg length doesn't matter. Someone else's experience with a certain fairing is only good for you if you are as tall from seat to head as he is.

BbigMmac

Have a windscreen for the longer trips in the summer, looks ugly but takes the wind off the chest and head and is easy to mount.

Also read somewhere that fairings and screens are for men who want to ride naked bikes but prefer to feel the wind only on their vaginas.
