Well - I've decided that I have the clip from hell. Especially made and designed by Satan.

Managed to get the thing off. What a battle. I did look to see if I could see traces of the number 666 embossed on that damned creation...

Given the age of the fuel line Brian, it could well be that a replacement might be an investment and solve your issue of removal as over time the rubber of the pipe will go hard making removal more difficult.

According to Suzuki the fuel line(s) are supposed to be replaced every 3 years, which no-one does, but assuming yours is still the original and now probably some 16 years old it may have hardened off somewhat.

Been like it for years now, Dave. That damned creation would test the patience of a saint. No matter what I do - it will not release. Of all the jobs - this is the one I detest. Bike is 17 in December though...😁

KiwiCol. I've taken the inner part off. I'll have a good mess about with it. If I could find an alternative. I'd be in there like a shot!

Basil. i agree, those JIS connectors are a pain. I did my wifes car fuel filter today, same connector. Pain to get apart and never know if it will pop off again. I did research on options last year, will have a look to find. The old barb fitting with clamp was far better i reckon.
