Spotted this unique colour/ looking front 14.
What you guys think of the front fairing/screen?
I think it looks awesome and would help with the wind at speeds, but I think it ruins the retro look :happy1:

I'm not a fan have to say, prefer mine naked!

There was a blue/white gsx1400 with a very simular fairing on it years ago (gnome possibly)I can't remember how trick the rest of the bike was though.
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

👎 not for me. Much prefer the naked look.

I don't like the color,
I don't like the fairing,
and I don't like the seller's statement that the bike is in

Ye the bike itself looks like it's been thrashed!
Over here when someone says " never dropped" , "mint" . And these ads with these terms are always accompanied with pictures taken by a drinking person with a potato camera.
It's definitely a ball of s**t.
It just looked unique to me as you'd never see one that colour or without the single headlight.
Do people usually mod them like this in other country?

I'd say each to thier own but in the future the ones that are as near to standard as possible will be most sort after.
1 of mine is quite modified (have all the standard parts for it)and the other almost standard(very easily returned to completely standard) but both are going to have high mileages as they get used alot.

Shame to see a 1402 in the state   And asking that much for it  and if that's ammaculate condition then ours are showroom collection
look check and look again  then you see the fool

seth

P.s. Looking at the clocks and the unrepainted parts of the bike at the start of this post it's far from mint .
  :frustrated:

It's idling a bit too high as well.  I also noticed the grubby clock area.  That particular headlamp / fairing assembly I've not personally seen used on a 14 before, have seen it on something though.
You asked if other countries mod them similar, well yes, sort of.  Down under, a dealer fit option (back in the day) was like the below pic of the blue K6. A belly pan & different headlight with fairing.

The extra wee bit on top of the fairing was not part of it. That was one of my additions to try & send the wind blast over my helmet instead of directly at it.  Was partially successful, but I tired of even the remaining blast, so I ended up cutting the screen down to even the flow while still retaining the appearance.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

To me the fairing looks like the top of an early yamaha R1 or a Suzuki SV 1000 .
Not sure which but both very simular.
Not for meee.

Christ that is disgusting.

I remember selling givi panniers to some chap on the old org that had a Fazer fairing on his 14, it looked a bit like that but not as bad.
