Quick update, tank de-rusted using this kit https://www.bilthamber.com/fuel-tank-cleaning-kit
Worked like a dream, thoroughly recommend it. Refurbished the fuel pump and fuel level sender, added an external fuel filter (thanks for that tip guys), chucked in 10 Ltrs checked all running off the bike. Popped it on the bike, connected it up, crossed everything, hit the button, a couple of splutters - YIPPEEEEEE !!! Runs like a charm, so basically, top end all good to go, now the forks, got plenty of emery for the sliders tank's back off, a small rust spot on the underside to attend to.
