My grommets have worn down quite a bit so it wobbles. Until l replace them.
Have put a velcro strap around it to keep it tight. Looks average but works well.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Things do wear out as we get older -Does mrs Col mind them wobbling?  :)

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

It's only the wobbling that keeps her awake  :whistling:  :mwink:

UPDATE:  So yesterday I rang the council, who flicked the problem to Translink who in turn told me I had to contact the Council insurance mob (Jardine Lloyd Thompson). I did that and as instructed followed up with an email stating all the details/circumstances etc.  In that email I asked them to confirm receipt and to let me know when I can expect an outcome.  I haven't heard back, and haven't got a read receipt on the email either.

Today I spoke to Translink again, and long story short, they are stating its nothing to do with them and that I can only deal with JLT regarding it.  Any complaints regarding the process, they say, have to be directed to JLT, as Translink don't deal with it / can't or won't respond to me as they don't get info from JLT, supposedly.   Instead they suggested that if I'm not receiving any response to my emails to JLT, that I send JLT another email asking them to respond to my emails.  Seriously, genius.

This is VERY frustrating. VERY VERY VERY.
:furious:

You're too straight Mike, walk with a 'mince', bung on some lippy & mascara & eye shadow & bowl on up to JLT HQ, then you'll get an outcome. Probably give ya a new H2 as compensation . . .

It's how local goverments and public transport work Mike, run you ragged on the basis that you will give up and then they don't have to pay. Very frustrating but stick with it.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

ha ha I reported on 'policelink'  They said they wouldn't take the report as I didn't have the details of the other driver. They said I have to go to cop shop.

So I did that on my way home.  They said they only get involved if there's injury where someone transported to hospital and/or over $7K in damage.

Shits me.

Did you get the license plate or bus #?. You could contact the bus company & get his details, even if you didn't, they would know who was driving with the time/day/location details you could give them.

VladTepes

Brisbane City Council - they won't hand out any info re the driver etc. Just referred me to translink who referred me to the insurance mob.
