I kept being drawn to getting a pair of Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones while we were away.
After doing some research on price it seems NZ may just be the cheapest place to buy them.
So thats where you blokes come in. Has anyone had any experience with them ?
Most taken with either Bose or Sennheiser  being the front runners, the latter having a far superiour warranty. I know their are many other brands. Sony being in there too.
Any comments please gents.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I have the Bose QC 20's and QC30.  Neither are wireless but both are great... use 20's a lot when flying and the noise cancelling is superb.  The audiophiles might say the sound quality is not the best, but with my hearing I wouldn't be able to tell anyway!   :happy1:
Did a lot of research when buying the 20's 4 years ago and they were the best available at that time...  had Sennheiser headphones which were great but no hands on experience of their nc stuff.

Col, I have had the Bose QC 25 for a couple of years now, they are wired though.
Absolutely fantastic & can only imagine the later 35 models etc are even better.
For anyone that does any airline travel etc, get a set of noise cancelling headphones of some sort. Cuts all the humming & constant drone noise out totally & you forget how good they are till they ask you what meal you want and you remove them :)
Would definitely recommend them to anyone Col.

I just turn me hearing aids off & I can't hear anything!!   Guess there is a small upside to deafness then . . .
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I have a set of the Bose QC15 (wired) noise cancelling headphones - use them on flights, when walking down town, at the gym - brilliant. Love them on flights as they really do work and cut out any crying or screaming kids, so on longer haul flights I can get some shut eye.

Down side is when you have them on and the wife wants you....yep it cancels out the boss as well  :onya:

You can often get a good price on second hand ones on eBay, I'll be looking to get a set of wireless in the next year or so, but until then really happy with mine (plus do wireless work on flights with the aircraft systems? For that you still need wired yes?

But def recommended!!!!!!
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Col, go and listen , just choose the best. Not headphones , off track i know, speakers. 1975 i bought a pair of AR 14 speakers. Numerous tweeters replaced only prob ever. They are going as i type, now linked up with Tannoys my old man left me. I payed 8 weeks wages for AR, they can go super loud, never distort, still amaze me.Have been carted all over Oz, sth to Tas, nth to Mackay, west to Dampier. Mustve done 20 th ks. Quality counts. 47 yrs and never ever wanted/needed to replace. just realised, 14 speakers, 14 bike, both quality.

As an aside (albeit related) question can anyone recommend good in-ear earphones for my missus.

The cheapo ones that came with her phone fall out etc.
She wants some good ones that are good quality sound wise, stay in the ear, and allow her to lie on her side while in use.

There is masking tape. Cheaper than audio earbuds.
Should work a treat, let me know how you get on :stir:
