I need new casings for my speedometer as bowls are cracked and uppers have marks on the black plastic at top of clocks

Genuine Suzuki are very expensive - £280 from Robinsons or cheaper on ebay

Spurious from China - £60 ..... what a huge difference for copies

Second hand from a breaker --- ?? (Havent priced yet but I only need the surrounds but will have to buy complete speedo)

Has anyone experience of the chinese copies and are they a suitable replacement or cheap crap chrome on them and poor fitting??
Which option should I go for ??

There was a thread on this I can't find it but it recommended 1 of the Chinese copies as being very good .
The only thing is you'll need to get the correct ones for your bike k2-k4 (twinpipe)models are different to k5 onwards due to the imobiliser on the later bikes .
Good luck
only a slightly modified gsx1400

Thanks Seth,
There is such a huge difference in price it is certainly worth asking the question on here  :)
I'll see if anybody else can add to this and make a call on it.

Nice one Andre - that's the one. Although these are the same but a bit cheaper (these are the guys I've used)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedometer-Tachometer-Gauges-Cover-Case-For-Suzuki-GSX-1400-2001-2003/131974279810?hash=item1eba47b282:g:BY0AAOSw8gVYBdwb

I've replaced clock cases before using these units and the quality is very good. The only way you can really tell the difference between the 2 once fitted is that the genuine Zooki ones have a small "SUZUKI" badge on the foil under one of the dials, that aside the things are exactly the same.

Thanks lads!!
Gsxbarmy do the two buttons under the dials still work with these copies?

With the clear centre panel are the LED lights very bright?

In the ones I've fitted they worked exactly the same as OEM - so the 2 buttons work ok and the LED lights are the same brightness as OEM.

A number of guys on here have used them in rebuilds after accidents and I've never yet seen anyone raise any issues with them (or on the previous org).

I keep thinking hard and may still go with genuine suzuki

Who is cheapest to deal with if I do?

Robinsons Rochdale and use the discount code from the OSS forum that I am also a member of for over two decades now (go back as far as the Robbynitrous.nl days)  ??

We too have a discount code there http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=217.0

Up to you if you go genuine Suzuki and I can understand the dilemma - however the Chinese ones are as good quality, the only difference is that they don't have the "suzuki" badge on the foil, that aside you will not be disappointed (and they are not overly expensive for a complete housing in all honesty).

Only you can make the call.

I got a second hand top part clone from Blubber  :onya: because my original centre piece had been cracked. I managed to make one good set out of the two. Using a craft knife I managed to remove the original silver plate with the writing on, then just used silicone to put it back in place, everything works fine, buttons etc and you still have the Suzuki logo and writing under the buttons. So if you could get the clock bodies and top part separately you could make a set up?
Hope this might help.
