What he's not telling ya Sweaty  is he left it running on the main stand for 20,000 of those 22,000.  :stir: :whistling:

Now, that makes sense Col  :happy1:

Thanks Col, ill remember that. Seriously, dont do that often, worries me into changing, away on a ride and it ends quickly. Bike shop local, he services a 1200 bmw, over 30 th on Michelin 5, reckons it has 10 left. Mine have never slipped, caused a drama, amazing tyres. As i said before, Rossos on Diavel also brilliant but for my riding cant see them as better. Cant accuse me of having Diavel on centrestand, doesnt have one. Does have a paddock stand, scares me using it. Can remember a ride in 80s, bloke on 1000 Kawa, destroyed rear in 1 th ks. Sure have improved.

OK, OK I know I dont own a GSX14 any more..
But when I did own her I fitted a set of Angel GT's and loved the difference from the Michelin PR4's..
Angels were immune to road surface irregularities..
I have some sort of Bridgestone tyres on my MT-01 and they really DO NOT inspire confidence at all..
Very twitchy in the wet.. In fact I can spin the rear in 3rd, 4th and even 5th (Top) on wet roads.
The MT-01 produces 150nm of torque so maybe thats part of the issue..
It may have R1 front and Rear forks / suspension but its not a bike I feel inclined to throw around.
I have every intention of getting Angel GT's fitted once the Bridgestones wear out.. I am too tight to just throw them away!
Incidentally she takes the very same sizes of tyre as the GSX did.

When I get around to it I will do a video clip of it starting up and being revved (a little)..
The tickover is the best part of it...
Nothing at all like a Harley on tickover... More like a V8 car in rythm..

I do regularly visit this forum as its about the best bike forum I have been on.

Keep it up.

G'day Speedy. Pleased you dropped in. Be sure to post some footage of the MT01  :onya:
Give it some good tyres ya tight arse, you know it will ride nicer.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Angel Gt after 11 000 km (6800 miles). No burnouts, good tyre but it's a bit slippery on cold tarmac.

This thread constantly reminds me I should have bought Pirellis instead of replacing my PR4s with PR4s.

I'm putting a new PR4 GT on the back of mine soon. I'm not changing both when there is 6-7k left on the the front.

That's exactly the reason I stayed with the PR4.  Relatively new front, spiked back and had to replace.

Hi Andre. Have you found any reports on new Angels? My rear soon to be replaced, if it ever wears out, just keeps lasting, looking & feeling good. Wonder if i could mix new model rear with original front. Front is new. Reluctant to change what has been best ever used. Havent seen any mileage reports on Michy5, only one is bmw that looks like getting 40 th ks. That is huge, 1200cc bike.

Andre

Grog, they are just starting to arrive at the larger tire dealers. Way to early for road reviews and tests. Heard there will  be a comparison test in May. Grip and longevity are claimed to be improved.

grog

Ill just stick another original on, hard to beat brilliant. Diavel has Rossos, expensive, so called super sticky. I cant find them any better than Angels. Both types are far better than my riding needs.Never a grip problem on either bike. Pirelli sure make great bike tyres.
