I can't believe how much you guys get out of a tyre. I had PR4's n they were dead at about 15000k, or close to 10,000 mile.  Maybe I need the heavier build casing?  It'll be the extra weight of my wallet (NOT) adding to the shorter demise of the said unit.   Couldn't be the pies n beer, that's health food.

Beer, made from hops, that's your greens.

Pies, pastry is flour which is a plant, meat is from animals, they are made from consuming grass and crops.

Hell Col, your almost a vegetarian !
.

"Processed vegetarian" - probably am!  Speaking of that, I hear another 'vegie burger' of hops & malt calling

Same here Col. I can not believe the mileage they are getting & if it makes you feel better, it's not weight related. I'm 80kgs & only got 11,000 kms (6800 miles) our of my last Angel GT's & the rear was absolutely shot.
This is my current rear with 5800 kms on it

And I won't be getting any more than that out of it, as it seems I picked up a nice nail on my 3 day trip  :furious:

Sweaty, no idea why it lasts. im 85kg, no burnouts, not the fastest rider but not the slowest. as i said, 14 th. ks and pr3 michy stuffed. these are far superior to pr3, no tram tracking the reason why. as michys wore, got worse, these dont seem to change. just glad i found them. my rear is going to outlast front by 5 to 6 th ks, never had that b4. because pirelli so good on bike, i fitted to car. 60ks later, not 60 th, front rh had tread separation. they said fitted wrongly, no compensation. i fitted them, yeah im good at it, was really annoyed. had to buy another tyre. bastards, it was faulty . do i like pirelli, yes &no.

Mine look like your sweaty, on the edges, the blocks get 'rounded' at the trailing edge.  Looking at Seths (1st post) his are not like that, think Grog's are, but his pic is a bit blurry in that area.  No burnouts from me either.  I'll be back on mine this week, got some new rego arriving after 'technically' being laid up for 3 months.  It's possible it's been out for a few runs over that time though . . .

No complaints about the tyre at all & will keep putting them on for sure. Just don't think I'm hard on the tyres and not the fastest rider by far & definitely no burnouts or stupid stuff, but when I see and read the kms some of you are getting out of them, it blows me away. Most of my riding is at a reasonable pace and always trying to keep away from boring roads etc.
This was the set before that was changed at 11,000kms (in case you thought I changed them early:)

grog

Sweaty, got me stuffed. cant think why. our roads prob warmer, should destroy tyres more. obv. you check pressures, so not that. big diff. in 11 to 23th. ks. scratching my head, how did front go? just cant understand, perplexing, isnt that a big word.

Got your moneys worth out of that one Steve!  Those edges look like Irish has had it!

It is very perplexing Grog :) & always check & keep them at 36f/38r unless loaded up.
Anyway, all good & will see what I get out off the next one in comparison.

Thanks Andre, great video again.
I did notice that wear pattern on that set and did google to look into it and made an adjustment, but that video is even more informative.
I will keep an eye on the wear on this set & if need be, I think a visit to a suspension guru for a professional set up might be advisable.
I did use the mcn settings originally to get started.

Andre

Suspension guru is a good choice :)

For those who want to do it themselves, this is a good starting point:https://www.sportrider.com/sportbike-suspension-guide

And the videos from Dave Moss. Especially the older ones as he has "progressed" to post mostly trailers to his premium content.

grog

Agree totally, suspension settings.
