Fantasy bikes / crazy ideas / what if ?

Anyone else have "what if" thoughts and dumb idea's ?

Bikes you wish they had or would build ?

Just me ?

A Buell built to a higher standard with a TL1000 motor.

A Classic Z650 styled bike based around a Z(Gpz)750 Turbo motor, even when the Z/Gpz750 turbo came out I always thought there was a crazy idea of doing the 1100 to a similar spec.

A modern take on the Pari-Dakar 4 cylinder FZT750

A GSX-S1200 (a production version of Phil Taintons conversion)

As posted before...

There have been artists impressions of a new Katana for years, and folk have hung the bodywork on heavy or average bikes like Bandits and GSX1400's, but the original was always a top end bike, something aggressive. I like to see a retro Kat based around a Busa or GSXR1000 engine and running gear.

.... and a ZRX1100 / 1200 / DAEG styled bike (Eddie Lawson Rep?) based around a ZX14R / ZZR1400 please.

.... and of course, a 2019 GSX1400.

Maybe a GSX1500? 1600? 1700? Radial brakes and a modern flashable / mappable ECU.

2019 gsx 1400 . my dream. exact same looks. monoblock brakes. much more cc. 150bhp. with same feel. torque i mean. not much i dislike on my bike, id be a happy old bloke.

T 24

You should try GSX 1400 turbo. That feeling of the power and torq is so addictive, that there is no way back!!

T24, I can imagine actually, my mate has 14 with one those horrible looking superchargers. It sure can move along. Getting on it was scary at first but soon enjoyed. Biggest let down was getting back on mine, where has my grunt gone. Soon became normal but showed me the potential of a 14 motor.

An interesting concept for sure. I love the Buells, I love those Suzuki V twin motors. (In fact I'd love a sorted TL1000R to be honest).
But the design you suggest would have to have a chain drive rather than belts, or no deal.  :)

Ducati Diavels are nice (fit me like a glove I discovered, though didn't actually ride one) so one of those but made to look like its made from metal not plastic / CF.

and ABS of course.  GSX1700 has a nice ring to it...

Be nice if when the Gen 3 'busa comes out, they would release a retro-styled bike based on the Gen 2 - like the one doing the rounds with the old slab-side style GXSR fairing.

I also really wish they'd build Moto Guzzis with power! Because if the V7 range had the power of a Trumpy Thruxton, I'd buy one.

Teufel

This is the sort of thing I dream about.
182 hp 119 kgs
And how simple (sort of) is the concept?

grog

Teufel, more info please. what is it. Tony, that Titan motor in that would be awesome. have done many ks on 250, 315 and 500 versions. unbelievable motors, rev to max forever. never fail. at least mine never did. still wish i had one. my upgrade was gt550, then gt 750, had 4 of them. never broke any, yeah i did, seized L model first week. too fast, too soon. ported it, built chambers, could pass z1 in 1973, was an achievement.

ARH

Teufel... I think most of us would almost double the weight of that just sitting on it  :rofl2:

grog

Thanks for link Teufel. Amazing bike & story. Power up 37kw in 500 revs, that is something scary.
