The bike not me, that is.......
The rear right shock adjuster knob is seized, and while it's not even a MOT advisory, do I need it?
I've started the ACF 'trick' to see if it will unseize, but as I never bothered to adjust the suspension since I bought the bike, I suppose I'm not too bothered now. But.....It's not right.
Bike is otherwise a '10 footer' but well serviced and slowly getting smarter - new chain, sprockets, pads, plugs, oil, tyres etc. this spring, so I'm not scared of spending (well, maybe a bit!)
I'm 13.10 weight wise, and the better half is only just over 7 stone and handling with new tyres seems fine.
Bear in mind that my other bikes are GT550s and a GT750 - even with improved brakes, suspension etc, the 14 is so much better than what I had been used to. (Well, it would be, wouldn't it?) Still like the classic 2 stroke stuff though.
So, looking on ebay, there are units from China, Australia, UK, Italy etc. ranging from suspiciously cheap to 'k'in hell''. If I change the units do I need oil or will air/nitrogen alone do?
Any advice is appreciated, as my brain is starting to hurt.
Thanks.
Currently prefer two strokes, but they're Suzukis, so I ain't all bad.

Mister Fishfinger

If you can't free it up with ACF-50 it could be that all the oil has drained out of the adjuster. I found that even after freeing mine up, the adjustment range was limited until I did the "inject it with a syringe" trick (well documented on this site).

Cheers bud. I'll do some searching and reading.

Looks like the ACF90 and some relevant swear words have done the trick.
That's £500 saved so I'm a very happy economical Yorkshireman.
Thanks for the interest - I'm still learning about the 'beast'!

Maybe ACF90 is 80% better than ACF50, that's why it worked  :cheesy:
