Your views on this collector

A bit further down the road I intend to replace the mild steel collector with a stainless one.
2 of the front clamps on my collector seem split.

No way am I paying £446 for a new mild steel one !!!

Has anyone any constructive views on the stainless version below?

Speedy if you take £139.99 from £446 you  have your answer......and a good looking stainless collector.

My original collector is very rusty and has 2 broken clamps.
The headers are held in by rust !
Chromed mild steel is still chromed mild steel..
Would any of us bikers consider chromed mild steel headers or silencers??
Plus Chroming is very expensive...
I thought the stainless collectors in the link seemed very good for the money..

As with other things on the GSX, Suzuki didnt always fit the absolute in quality.

I had that collector on my K7 Simon, fitted no problem and I was happy with it, although a few subsequent to me expressed that some of the welding on the ones they had bought was not so good.

That's not to say that that is still the case of course - I had absolutely no issues with mine and was very happy with it.

Many these days though seem to prefer the Delkevic collector as a replacement - as this also allows the chrome covers to be fitted either side

So if you want chrome covers still - go Delkevic, if not the go Black Widow. Note you will still need a gasket set which Black Widow do very reasonably (less than 1/2 the price of OEM and as good)

I've got one on Bertha, fitted along with new downpipes. Went straight on no bother, quality looked well too.

I must say I didn't fit it myself, because I didn't want to get involved with the inevitable seized stud on the downpipes which got done at the same time.

I've found out that, that is the same collector I inherited with the down pipes, no problems at all, only thing that you can't put back on are the side covers, not that I missed those never having had them in the first place 
(They also supply the insert gaskets separately if you ever need them in the future).
