Same here Grog, retired since heart op nearly two and a half years ago. So not interested in panelbeating now. Sold my chassis machine six months ago. Still got loads of hand tools, cost a fortune when new, now worth nothing.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

You'll have a very big empty shed to play in now then Col, or do you keep the van in there?

Insurance due. $213 pretty cheap but knocked me back on agreed value $8g. Market value only,  wonder what that is. I'll look again tomorrow, reckon it's worth 8-9g.

Today I bought my regular $24 coffee & breakfast.

Apparently the price has gone up by $1.50.

Just realised they charged me $31.50.

I probably have a few too many breakfasts so I'll take it as a sign to cut back a bit. That, and check how much I pay not just when I get home !

The pub only charges me $19 for the same. Not quite as good, but I like the pub, it's a bit less touristy and a bit more rural and tradie.

Both my 2 favourite cafes have now closed. It's not easy trying to find an ideal replacement. I'll just have to keep looking and trying out all the options.

I might need some new jeans too. These are getting a bit tight around the waist!

I took mine off my insurance recently.
I was pretty honest about it.
2008 model, Yoshi Cyclone, KOSO dash, Renthals, fork brace, single seat cowl, jack up blocks etc. I told them it had a few marks!
Shannon's did me a written agreed valuation of $5,000.
More than I had into it.  I was happy with that.

You need some jeans with an elastic waist band....   :coffeescreen:  :whistling:

Irish in Oz

Before I went overseas from Oz in 2018 (say 9 years ago) I reckon you would be doing well to get $4500 for a K7 2007 with 80,000k's, so what do you think they are worth now!

Average price is anything around 8k as low as $6k and around high 10's. I did see one sell for $12k it was nice but no nicer than mine 🤷♂️

I keep an eye on Qld prices.

Bottom end of the market seems to be 5 or $6000. Most of the lower end ones seem to have higher mileage or look cosmetically tired.

The $5k one down the Gold Coast has 140,000K's which I don't hate but will put some folk off when others have a lot less.

I wouldn't expect to pay less that $5k unless it has damage, ex-stolen, visually sad, or starship mileage or some other reason.

I'd expect something OK for $6.5 / $7k upwards.

Obviously I'm only watching asking prices, not buyers prices.

Dealers prices are predictably up there still.

Unless it's a real bargain nothing seems to be moving quickly now. Some stuff I'm watching has been up a while.

Amazing lately, money is short in a lot of lives. Some stuff just no bids. I've watched a Rocket come down from 13g to 8, no takers. Another 3 and I'll grab it. Yesterday Speedmaster very nice, very cheap, gone in one hour.I enjoy watching the sales sights, even 14 prices/ condition vary lots.

Tony Nitrous

No, didn't buy it, but did have a think about it.
Price was quite tempting.
( that's £2,385 for our Pommie members )

There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

My Mrs is the bread winner in this house.
We agreed on two rules ages ago.

# I need to buy it with my own money / pension / savings.
# It needs to fit in my shed (so I built a bigger shed)

We are both happy with that.

The last 3 or 4 bikes she's either told me to go and get them, or asked if I'd regret it if I didn't.

I thought I'd rise her blood pressure buying the DRZ but she just said do it whilst you still can.
