(Step) Son's 21st birthday this week, having a bit of a do tonight.

We thought (for about 2 seconds) about having a party at home, then decided... Pub!
I think he has about 60 friends coming, the pub has closed off an area for us.
Ordered 4 large platters at $110 each and put $1000 over the bar to start it off.
Pretty sure I'll be home in bed before it ends!

He's a good lad. Still at uni but works part time. He arranged to swap one term of his Uni degree with a term at San Hose uni in San Francisco USA so he's certainly motivated. 

I never wanted kids, I had "the snip" as soon as I could and never intended to find a wife where I'd get an "instant family" but these 2 really are good kids and will go far in life. Perhaps it's better having kids that don't have my DNA.... LOL

Sounds like a good night ahead Tony.

It was a good night. I'm home by 10:30pm and we left the youngsters to it.
I closed the bar tab at $1306 so someone will have a headache tomorrow.

Only embarrassing moment was a forum member from here saying "Hi Tony"
and shaking my hand and me standing there like an idiot and my mind going blank for a moment....
