Hi guys im looking for advice on selecting a gear position indicator, my last 2 bikes have had them snd im kinda lost without one, the big 14 is so torquey ive no idea what gear im in half the time 😀 my gsxr1000 has one as standard and as its a torque monster as well its very useful, ive used the healtech one before and its very good but its expensive! Theres one thats less than half the price, so which one is recommended?
Thanks

I had the GiPro one fitted to my 14 - worked very well

A better option (IMO) is to get your clocks modified by Thommohawk to show which gear you are in and who can also change the colour of the LED backlights as well (if required). PM Thommohawk for details

I've had Gipro Atre five years now, and I like it. Worked well 58 000 km.
Easy to install: plug and play.

Same as T24, been on a long time. Wouldnt be without it. Never a problem. Pay the bucks, at least you know its reliable. Take power from a switched location, horn works for me. Had mine hard wired at start and certainly drained battery if not ridden for a while. I also think atre smooths out first 4 gears.

Same here, Gipro was already fitted to mine & couldn't go without it.

I haven't got 1 & was reaching for 7th today (again!)  :whistling:  :imrgreen:

Yep GiPro here too, which was on the bike when I bought it from Bov.  It's fantastic.

If I were in the UK though I'd seriously be looking at the thommohawk setup. That is awesome.

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

not sure id change if in uk, i like the healtech. clocks mod would confuse me. old eyes, can see numbers much better than instruments.

I fitted a Gi-Pro with ATRE to mine and it worked ok up until the time I stripped and rebuilt the bike. When it was refitted it kept chucking up Error faults. I checked all the connectors and everything but it wouldn't have it at all. It's now in a drawer in the shed :furious:

The thommohawk mod is awesome! Any idea how to get in touch with the man himself? And how much does it cost?
Thanks

Search for Thommohawk in members list. It's got his email contact details on his profile.
