I am so so livid. Been away for a couple of days in Lincoln, so parked the car up and came back to the rear door smashed in, rear wing scraped big time and the rear of the car pushed across the road about 6" into the kerb. No note on the windscreen from whoever did it, or from any witnesses (and there must have been some as its a busy-ish road. From looking at it, some moron has reversed into it big time. 3.5 years the wife has had her A1 and not so much as a stone chip. Now about £2K's worth of damage and loss of her no claims due to some ignorant arsewipe. I'm fuming, plus it kind of put a downer on what should have been a couple of nice days away.

Off to get an estimate tomorrow. I was hoping it might "just" be a door skin and a rebuild of the back wing with some filler, but closer inspection reveals a fold in the door behind, even a dent on the rim of the alloy - must have given the poor girl a real hard whack.

As for me being a gentleman ARH, hmm, you would not have want to have heard what I said when I saw it last night when we returned, very ungentlemany (this place however is more public so I tried to be more discrete. Yesterday though, livid was rather an understatement!

Unfortunately as you have all said, it seems to be a way of life these days with many having no respect for others property, which is rather a telling shame on the society we live.

Enough has already been said about the pedigree of the person that did this.
I am driving around in a fairly late model van that l repaired from a total loss. I go to the shops and as im getting out a woman carrying a child opens her car door into my van. I say "you could be a bit more careful" she says "just fcuk off" nice lady....not !!.
Can't wait to sell it and start driving a heap of shit again. Nobody wants to park near you then.
Your rear door shell needs replacing, it will have bent the intrusion bar.

People do suck.

I had been to the bottle-O and stocked up on beer for a party (a large number of cartons). It was in the boot out of sight.

I drove to near where the party was, parked up and went off for about 20minutes.
Came back and in that time someone had jemmied the boot open (lock stayed shut so boot was bent at 45 degree angle from lock to hinge) and all the beer was gone.  So no beer and no money and a bent boot.
