Saw this video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf_uFs2xUIQ

Wondering what performance upgrades the GSX14 has had done to it. Even my mates gsx650f seem to be quicker than my gsx14 top end or is there something up with my bike?

That particular 14 is very non standard!  Some of the Uk guys know the machine. From memory I think it's a big bore (1550 or 1700) with a turbo. A std 14 does not behave like this one in the video. As to the 650 beating your 14??  Yeah dunno on that one.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Big bore kit + cams + ported head +exhaust system + , + ?? , is my guess. No turbo, you can see it.?

Ah that would be Boris' 1700. He used to be on the (previous) org. Don't think it was turbo'd but was 1700cc with home ground cams and home made exhaust. Impressive performance! There were a couple of Russian 14 owners who tuned their 14's right up.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement :lol:

@Blubber, from current org, have purchased the very same 1700 parts from Boris... It would be interested to know, what is the situation with his engine build

Yoshi cams , pod filters , powercommander properly set up then your looking at a very useable/reliable approx 135 (rearwheel) bhp .
:cheers:
only a slightly modified gsx1400

@northern
That project got a bit bigger. I am now shoehorning the gsx1400 in a gsx1100ef frame. The plan is to have a street sleeper with old style looks. Got a good usd from a zx9r and a b-king rear. Nothing to show atm busy relocating all the 14 electronic stuff. Did manage to turn it over on the starter motor.

Good luck, and waiting for results!
