Love it or hate it, eBay is the first option for most people when they are looking for parts.
I generally find almost anything I'm looking for on there.
Sure, there are idiot sellers who are preying on gullible buyers but fortunately, most of us aren't stupid.
I'd prefer to support small dealers or local businesses but at the end of the day, it's the price that counts!
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna cost you!

Painful lesson learnt for me this winter, never buy anything other than genuine seals!!

I wonder if he's accidentaly put in an extra zero?  Maybe he only wants £1500 for it, which is why he says be quick?   :whatever:

Maybe he increased the price once deposit taken so nobody else buys it?

Extra zero added i reckon. Ive had many good buys from flea bay, i wont knock it. Just need to be aware of a few things. Bid on a $200 brake fluid tester, got it for $4.40. Just one of my bargains.

This Viper seat - nearly new went for £225 plus £8.95 P & P - FFS just bandits sell new at £235 - and yes I did bid on it because it looked lowered...i just wish I had the balls (will be removed by mrs Notty with a rusty blade) to go for the Top Sellerie at £384  :)

Its simple - some people don't do their homework before bidding to check prices, nor do they check the price outside of eBay.

I had a winning buyer complain to me a couple of years back that post paying and having the item he bought from me delivered that he subsequently found out that he could have bought it new cheaper elsewhere. My reply to him was simple - "i didn't ask you to bid, I didn't tell you what to bid, that was your choice".
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

totally correct Barmy. know what youre buying, i do. my K&N air filter just cost $61, got a work light , $109 best price local shop, $24 from ebay. i try often to buy local, give them a go, have had some wins. not often.

shanered6

Ye i try when i can to use local businesses and keep them going but sometimes its just not cost efective , if its a few pounds im not bothered but if its 10's of ££'s then you just have to go to the online stuff .

The biggest problem with eBay is folk are lazy I've seen plenty of things forsale for more than they are new .
It's the way of the world today.
