Spare engine

Just been on my local "for sale" site and there is a 2004 engine. 55k km described as "using oil"

It's up for €160, might just have a punt to practice stripdown.

Worth it just for spares if nothing else.
Its even got the cam sensor there not cheap for a start.
Id love a spare cylinder head as have a few plans on the back burner

160€ - I wouldn't think about but will take it immediately. Yes, it could by in bad condition, but just for reference - I payed 100€ for just cylinder block only (for possible future 1550 project)...

I hear you Seth.
I thought exactly the same. So I changed a friends motor if I could keep the old one. (The usual 2nd gear issue on early models)
So I junked the old motor and kept the cylinder head.
It's still on the shelf awaiting my special plans.

Id take a punt on for that sort of money even if its not great you'll have a wealth of spares and something to practice on
