I know they said it was road legal but I would love to watch them trying to get insurance for it.
Here, near the north pole, turbo didn't make any difference to insurance, 120+50€/year :cheesy:

Wow, from a distance it hardly looks modified at all.

I know they said it was road legal but I would love to watch them trying to get insurance for it.

Shouldn't be a problem.

As Sean builds crazy stuff and has done for many years in guessing his work / shop / trade policy would cover it.

I was just joking really. I guessed he would be a pro.

Reviving this specific Hayabusa thread is probably the best place for this question..

A new Kat and a new Busa were both on my "2019 Possibles" list but both got crossed off.

Why'd the 2019 'busa get the arse?  Just because there isn't one ?  :stir:

There is a 2019 Busa, the US got theirs a while back.

I asked Suzuki Australia a while back and they said at the time the "19" was coming to Australia, but a different source told me there will be no 19's in Australia until all 18's are sold out.

Typical Suzuki the "new" 19 model is exactly the same as the current 18 model except for the paint, so no real reason the bring in new stock to sit alongside devalued current bikes.

2019 colours.
I don't mind the black.

I'm off to look at a bike tomorrow.

No new 19 Busa, no new 19 H2 SX SE+ yet.

Got a couple of bikes to have a look at as alternate possibles.

I've had offers on my 14 and B-King but not enough to part with them.

I might de-register the Busa as I rarely use it and want to do a rebuild.

Made an offer on another bike that's looking quite positive.

The 14 might end up as a work horse, the King for the drags..... maybe.

Either way, something will be bought or sold by Saturday.

By pure chance yesterday driving down towards Aust.Zoo. white Busa in front of me. 80k zone. I was just plodding along behind thinking how good/ loud it sounded. Next thing hes up it, out around cars, up on back wheel. Then it really sounded nice and just kept it going. Id say 2nd gear rev out with wheel way up. Looked impressive.

If I had a 'busa I reckon my licence would last about two minutes....

It's quite easy to ride a Busa at GSX1400 speeds.

The torque isn't a million miles different, the revs and gearing aren't that different.

I can commute or do a lap of the dams at the same speed on either bike without drama.

You just need to resist the temptation to hold it open and watch the world go into reverse, but that the same with the modern 1000cc sportsbikes to.

Resisting temptation is not my strong point

The exact reason I sold my B-King and returned to the 14 - too easy to flick the wrist
