White reflects light so improves the Power to weight whilst black absorbs all the light making it heavier and slower.
So science says White is faster! 

Light is energy.  Black absorbs light. Therefore black absorbs energy. The only way to get rid of that energy is to go faster. Ergo black is faster. 

Wait a minute. That can't be true, coz I know my B/W is fastest.

Well I think this is more the definitive answer.

Faster or not (not  ) you are 36% more likely to have an accident on a black bike than any other colour. Why? 'Cos it says so right here in this article....

No it doesn't say that at all. It says where a driver failed to see the bike n turned straight in front if them, involved 36% black bikes. Extrapolated, 64% of cases where a driver failed to see the bike were not black, so you're safer on a black than a coloured bike.
