Is black void of colour?
Black is a colour, the perception of which is evoked by the total absence of light that stimulates any of the three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye and with very low brightness compared to the surroundings. A black visual stimulation will be void of hue and grayness.

1. Black is not a colour; a black object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them to the eyes. The grey area about black: A black object may look black, but, technically, it may still be reflecting some light.

Whilst the black one is still recovering I do hope its in isolation as we would not like to see it catch some rust or other corrosive disease from the second choice Blue and White imposter.......

My Bandit fuel cap id the same as the GSX1400..I took it all apart, got a sheet of plate glass and wet n dry paper and "Sanded" the grooves out of the main part and then mirror polished it.
When I stripped my GSX and rebuilt it last year I was going to do the same...Couldn't drive the roll pins out for love nor money
I gave up in the end because I didn't want to destroy it. It still bugs the hell out of me

Make it Gold Notty, then there'll be no 'discussion' about the subtle shades of light n dark.

the fuel cap cover from CCDF looks good. imo. had mine for a long time. just choose whatever colour bolts. i have their top yoke cover and sprocket cover . just beautiful. few yrs now, they keep their shine quite easily. top yoke with polished bar risers, i like. might order the polished triangles for side covers. just brighten up the covers a bit. top quality stuff.

Thanks Speedy, it's actually vinyl wrapped in Black Satin, also had front fender, side panels, rear cowl and belly pan done 👍
