I had to open my pictures individually in Paint and reduce the size to 30% so they were about 400KB (originals were 1.5 MB ish and I kept getting failed security messages) and save them. After that, it would only let me upload 4 of the new smaller pics at a time. Must be a picture size limit as well as a maximum size per post

Hope this helps  :onya:

Paulpmy

Maybe site organiser should have made it easy I'm only a biker lol

No time for mods......too busy riding it.
Word of advice.......if you follow the accepted forum rule. All mods cost a maximum of $30. In some cases you may even be praised by management for saving money by not missing the bargain
Let us know how you get on  :whistling:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Try clicking on "Attachments and other options" when you post something......it's under the box you type in - you should get the options below then where you can attach a photo (or photos)

So yes we have made it easy  :onya:

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Perhaps you can find the above but are talking about the sizing issue?

We had to put a limit on the size of pictures uploaded for two reasons.
1. Really large pictures take longer to download in people's browsers, slowing things down.
2. Large pictures means large file sizes which takes up more space on our server which costs more money.  There's no advantage on the web of having a super hi-res pic.  1024 on the long side is more than enough.

So in order to attach a file you do have to resize it to no more than that.

I THINK that when you upload a photo to your gallery it auto-resizes (not sure) but you definitely have to do it manually prior to attaching it.

Getting to use the gallery feature is worthwhile as it allows you to put photos in the body of your posts rather than just at the end.

It can be confusing at first I'm sure but you'll get your head around it :)

I'm 'only a biker' myself and I started this forum so hey, anything is possible ! :)

Welcome aboard too.

If any more problems, just sing out we'll do our best to help  :onya:

There's also a 'test' forum where you can muck around / experiment to your hearts content :)

Hid headlight conversion

Bad news is that (I saw in another thread here recently) that apparently an HID headlight conversion has become an MOT fail item.

Now this I need to wrap my head around  :computer_type:

KiwiCol

Mike means "Pic's" in the body of your posts,   not "posts".

We can forgive his typo, as his mits have swelled up due to the extreme heat at his place at the mo.
