I know nothing about diabetes, but at a guess, I'd say you're right.  Maybe in moderation?  Plenty on here who seem to know about this though.

I am sure there are plenty of examples but I think you are confusing something here. German for locksmith is Schlosser.   Key Master, played by Rick Moranis in Ghostbuster was translated as Schlüsselmaster but no self-respecting German locksmith would call himself that

no wonder we're confused the english language  is made up off 1/3 germanic a1/3 french and a 1/3 of god knows what .
and then we send it the other side of the world and the Australians and new Zealanders distilled it to its bare bones and don't even mention what the yanks have done with it then sending it back ruined via tv and films.
at least european languages are more or less as they've always been.

First time in California I saw a "Restaurant" named Wienerschnitzel. I went in and ordered a Wienerschnitzel. No Wienerschnitzel to be had there. They just (ab)used the name  Never bought anything ever there. IDIOTS

years ago i was in an Irish bar in the south of the Czech Republic .the only thing irish about it were the name and a few pictures on the wall .
no irish staff, no irish/british beer ,  no irish food and no bicycles on the wall
